Study by the School of Pharmacy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) on the Action of NOVASIN
The NKUA School of Pharmacy evaluated the in vitro action of NOVASIN within a controlled laboratory cell‑migration (scratch assay) study. The results documented its excellent behavior at the cellular level, based on the following:
Up to 41% acceleration of cell migration within the first 12 hours at low concentrations (0.05–0.1 mg/mL).
- Complete ‘wound’ coverage (100% wound closure) within 24 hours, at all concentrations from 0.05 to 10 mg/mL.
- Safe and non‑cytotoxic at concentrations up to 10,000 ppm (10 mg/mL), with stable cell phenotype and normal morphology.
- Advantages over the positive control (15% serum), demonstrating faster healing in the first hours.
- An ideal profile for further development in dermatological care and wound care applications, with a strong scientific basis.
The study was conducted by the Dermatopharmacology Unit, Division of Pharmaceutical Technology, Department of Pharmacy, NKUA, under the guidance of scientific supervisors.
It concerns an in vitro evaluation and does not constitute medical guidance or a pharmaceutical indication.
